Brent Lindberg, 46, of Cambridge, Minnesota, passed away at home on March 29th, 2026 with his wife and children at his side. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday, April 3rd at Strike Life Tributes in Cambridge. A visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until the service at 4:00 P.M.
Brent was born on May 27, 1979, in Mora, Minnesota, to Alver and Evenna (Edblad) Lindberg. He grew up in Braham, Minnesota and graduated from Braham High School.
On September 27, 2003, Brent married Angie (Vanderpoel) at First Baptist Church in Cambridge. Together they built a life centered around family while raising their three boys, Jeremiah, Jackson, Joey…and his “favorite son” Cole. He was a devoted husband and father who took pride in the accomplishments of his wife and boys. He especially loved watching them race dirt bikes and play sports, and Joey’s rodeos. He was incredibly proud of Jackson’s service in the U.S. Army. He was their biggest supporter and rarely missed an event.
After high school, Brent worked as an insulator before later changing paths and becoming a commercial truck driver. He drove for Republic Services in Blaine for many years and finished his driving career with Builders FirstSource. Brent truly enjoyed driving and especially valued the friendships he formed with his coworkers.
Brent was known for being quiet, humble, and a bit stubborn. He enjoyed the simple things in life like drinking beer, eating pizza, and spending time with lifelong friends and the many dirt bike and rodeo families over the years. His love of the outdoors included his four-legged best friends: Drake (2004), Avery (2020), Jake (2022), and Daisy. He was happiest on the lake fishing or duck hunting, hunting in the woods, or supporting his boys.
Brent is survived by his wife, Angie; children Jeremiah (Kallie), Jackson, and Joey; bonus son, Cole (Jessica) Liimatainen; mother, Evenna Lindberg; brothers, Dwaine (Tabby) Lindberg and Kevin (Brenda Rippon) Lindberg; sisters, Dianna Lindberg and Suzanne (Brian Toske) Lindberg; sister-in-law Heidi (Todd Cardinal) Tooker; brothers-in-law, Jon (Jessica) Vanderpoel and David (Karen) Vanderpoel; father-in-law Norman (Cheryl) Vanderpoel; nieces and nephews, Kayla (Sean) Shurtop, Dominick (Alli) Tooker, Courtney Cardinal, Alex Tooker, Madison Tooker, Colton Heitschmidt, Krista Lindberg, and Evan Lindberg; great nieces and nephews, Ashlyn Shurtop, Matthew, Carter, and Mason Tooker; foreign exchange children Johanna, Sofy, Jon, Rafael, Natalia, Emma, Sylvia, Caroline, Isi, Julia, Sam, Esther, and Peter Pan; and many other relatives and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alver Lindberg; mother-in-law, Debbie Vanderpoel; grandparents, and uncles.
Brent will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
In high school, Brent always had time for me and we spent many nights after school hanging out. His sense of humor and independent spirit helped me to become a better person and I will always be grateful. Even after all these years I can still hear his laughter. My thoughts are with his family that were so lucky to have him in their lives.
