Janette Arlene Langmade was born August 10, 1932 in East Bethel, Minnesota to Ralph and Ruth (Cooper) Gardner. She grew up on the family farm in East Bethel and graduated from St. Francis High School. Janette met Kenneth Langmade through his sister, Betty. Janette and Kenny were married on November 4, 1950 at West Bethel Methodist Church. They bought their first house in Blaine in 1956 and lived in Blaine 45 years. In 2005 when they moved to East Bethel.
Janette and Kenny were always together no matter what they did. Together they raised their children, were very involved with the Kraus Harting VFW Post 6587 since 1960, as well as being a big part of the East Bethel Senior Group. When visitors and family came to see them, no one left hungry. Janette was always making sure you were fed, whether that was giving you cookies or providing a meal.
Janette also worked as a waitress at Jax Cafe in Minneapolis for many years. She enjoyed helping her family with projects and supported them all. She also enjoyed reading, traveling and doing whatever Kenny was doing. She was always right beside him. Behind every great man is a great woman.
