Glen David Rodrigue, 70, of East Bethel, MN was delivered into the heavenly arms of those preceding him in death at high noon on May 1, 2026. Glen requested to have no formal funeral services or burial. Glen chose to be cremated with his ashes to be spread on his family farm alongside his father’s and anywhere else his family chooses. Over the holidays Glen spent time planning his big 70th birthday party but when his condition turned, his plan was shelved. A celebration of life in his honor will be hosted mid-August around what would be his half birthday to honor the party plans he worked so hard on. Please continue to honor his memory by sharing stories about your interactions. In lieu of flowers to the family, please plant yourself some Zinnias and enjoy Glen’s favorite flower as a reminder of the bright happiness his spirit is casting upon you.
Glen lived a full life of hard work and adventure. When his time was nearing its end, he decided he was going to control the things he could and put aside the things he couldn’t. His final wishes were fulfilled by being able to live out his days in the comforts of his home surrounded by those he cherished most and by getting in these final words. Glen wanted to thank everyone for your continual support and understanding. Although he wanted to talk, visit and reminisce more than he may have gotten the chance to, he was ever delighted in the fact that there was never a shortage of people waiting to catch him when they could. Glen was so grateful for the many relationships forged over the years.
While discussing what he wanted to say here, Glen kept circling back to the pride he felt over his family. Although he was proud of his kids, he was even prouder of his grandkids. By watching them grow and seeing their accomplishments, he knew through it all something went right because his kids raised the best kids in all the county and he displayed that pride everyday with his personal plates “PAPABY6”. Whether it be the phone calls for advice and explaining why variety is the spice of life. Cheering from the ball field stands with reminders to play hard and play happy. Or trying to wrangle in an unruly crew to review the rules: 1. Be Happy 2. Have Fun 3. Follow the rules. Glen always made sure that when he was around, a good time would be had by all.
He is survived by his faithful wife of 47 years, Judy; their adoring children, Amy (Dismas), Aaron (Laura) and Ann; and beloved grandchildren, Josephine (15), Izadora (14), Alphonse (9), Gunnar (8), Rochus (7) and Lakeleigh (4). Along with countless family members and friends.
