Debra “Debbie” Hebeisen, age 72, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, at CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital. A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Sidelines Sports Bar and Grill in Cambridge, Minnesota.

Debbie was born on June 22, 1953, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Gordon and Arlene (Eastling) Sathre. At the age of one and a half, she moved with her family to Dassel, Minnesota, where she was raised. From a young age, Debbie was known for her fearless spirit and outgoing personality. In 1967, her family relocated to Braham, Minnesota, where she continued her schooling and graduated in 1972. During her high school years, she was crowned Homecoming Queen, participated in wrestling cheerleading, and ran track.
Following graduation, Debbie attended vocational school in Anoka, which led to her career as a Health Unit Coordinator at Cambridge Medical Center, where she dedicated many decades of service. Early in her career, she met her future sister-in-law, Ginnie Rosenau, who later introduced her to her younger brother, Ronald Hebeisen—the love of Debbie’s life.
Debbie and Ron were married on July 14, 1979, and made their lifelong home in Cambridge, Minnesota. Their marriage was filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures. Together, they built a life centered around family. In 1981, Debbie welcomed her son, Dan, followed by her daughter, Angie, in 1986. She was a devoted mother who took great pride in her family.
Debbie and Ron loved traveling and spent countless summers camping, hiking, and biking with their children. One memorable year, their family earned recognition from the State of Minnesota for visiting every state park.
Debbie had many passions throughout her life. In her younger years, she loved skiing—often being one of the first on the hill and the last to leave. She also enjoyed bowling in a league and playing softball with her coworkers. She was an avid fan of Minnesota sports teams, including the Twins, Vikings, and Wild. She rarely missed a game, often planning her days and weekends around televised matchups, and treasured opportunities to attend games in person. Debbie also loved to drive and was happiest behind the wheel, always ready for the next adventure.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Hebeisen; her mother, Arlene Sathre; brothers-in-law, David Hebeisen and Jeff Hebeisen; sister-in-law, Ginnie Rosenau; nephews, Brian Rosenau, Chris Rosenau, and Randy Brellenthin; and her aunts, Lila Sathre and Shirley Fremo.
Debbie is survived by her father, Gordon Sathre; her brother, Kevin Sathre; her sister, Terri (Rob) Schmidt; her children, Dan (Rita) Hebeisen and Angie Hebeisen (Mike Futa); her cherished granddaughters, Autumn Hebeisen, Sierra Hebeisen, and Effie Futa; her sisters-in-law, Karen Brellenthin and Rosie Hebeisen; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Debbie will be remembered for her kind spirit, her deep love of family, her sense of adventure, and the happiness she brought to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on in all who knew her. She will forever be remembered for her fun phrases—“no biggie” and “k’doke”—and for ending every phone call and visit with the words, “Love ya.”
I remember Debbie from Braham High school. She and my sister Linda (Moline) were good friends. Then we worked together at CMC for many years. It was always a joy to see her smiling face. She will be missed. Condolences to the family.
I grew up next door to Debbie and her family. I remember playing in their yard and seeing the baby chicks. Debbie, babysat a cpl times. Then years later, after a procedure at the Cambridge hospital, she wheeled me to recovery.
