In Memory of Nancy Ogez

Nancy Ogez, of Cambridge and formerly of Forest Lake.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Nancy Ogez, who peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 26, 2026, at the age of 87 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.  A private family graveside service will be held at Cambridge Union Cemetery.

Nancy was the devoted wife of Fred W. Ogez, with whom she shared an extraordinary marriage of 69 years. Together they built not only a home, but a beautiful life filled with faith, love, adventure, and family. Their love story was one of unwavering partnership—a life that looked like something from a postcard. Whether driving through town in their beloved old Ford Model A during local parades, traveling the country through Fred’s military service, or eventually settling in Forest Lake, they embraced every season of life side by side.

Together they raised four children, who blessed them with grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating the family they were so incredibly proud of. They treasured the relationships they built throughout their lives and found their greatest joy in gathering everyone together.

Nancy and Fred were the perfect team. Fred could often be found tending the grill with a cold beer in hand, while Nancy perfected every delicious side dish, sipping her favorite Black Russian. They complemented each other so naturally, creating a home where everyone felt welcome, loved, and well-fed.

Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who made every member of her family feel treasured. Her grandchildren especially knew there was no place quite like Grandma’s house. Sleepovers were magical, filled with laughter, comfort, and the unmistakable feeling of being completely spoiled by someone who loved them unconditionally. She had an incredible gift for making each grandchild feel uniquely special.

Nancy possessed impeccable taste and an extraordinary eye for beauty and quality. Everything she touched reflected elegance and intention. Her flower gardens looked as though they belonged in the pages of a magazine, blooming with vibrant color and careful attention.

She was fiercely independent, wonderfully stubborn, incredibly strong, and someone we will always admire.

Above all else, Nancy’s greatest legacy was her faith. She lovingly led her family toward the Lord through the example she lived every day. Her faith remained steadfast even as Parkinson’s disease slowly stole the independence and strength that had defined so much of her life. It was heartbreaking to watch such a capable, determined woman lose the control she fought so hard to keep.

Yet even in those difficult years, Nancy looked forward to the day she would see Jesus face to face. She was ready to meet her Savior long before we were ready to let her go.

Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Forrest and Irene Marshall, and by her cherished grandson, Fred G. Ogez, whose memories she carried close to her heart.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 69 years, Fred W. Ogez; her children, Paula (Bob) Jarousek, Fred (Jane) Ogez, Carrie Ogez, and Jon (Kim) Ogez; along with her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends, all of whom were blessed by her unwavering love and generous spirit.

Today, while our hearts grieve, we find peace knowing she has been made whole. She is free from Parkinson’s disease, free from pain, and surrounded by a beauty more magnificent than anything she created here on earth. Heaven is surely a fitting home for someone who spent her life bringing beauty, warmth, and love into the lives of everyone around her.

We love you beyond words. Though today we send our love toward Heaven, we know you are smiling down on us, surrounded by perfect peace, and sending your love right back until the day we are together again.
