Robert “Bob” Morley, age 83, of Isanti passed away June 1, 2026 at home. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 3 – 5 PM, with a sharing time at 4:30 PM, Thursday, June 11th at Strike Life Tributes in Isanti.
Bob was born to George and Dorothy Morley on February 24, 1943, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was raised in Fridley, graduated from DeLaSalle High School in 1961 and continued his education at Brown Institute. On June 29, 1963, he married the love of his life, Geraldine “Geri” Schrade. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service. In 1973, they moved their family to Isanti, where they became founding members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Bob retired from Qwest Communications after a 33-year career. Throughout his life and especially in retirement, he generously devoted his time to serving others through volunteer work with the Knights of Columbus, the Salvation Army, and the Patriot Guard Riders.
Known for his kindness, humility, and unwavering willingness to help those in need, Bob was deeply respected within his community. His gentle spirit touched the lives of many and will be remembered with great affection.
Bob found joy in spending winters in Texas with Geri, taking motorcycle rides during the summer months, and attending car shows. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family and took immense happiness in their lives and accomplishments.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Geri; his children, Denis (Christina) Morley, Dena (Craig) Abrahamson, and Diane Charewicz; his grandchildren, DJ, Mason, and Neil; his siblings John, Tom, Dennis, Paul, Mark, and Joan; as well as many other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him.
Bob’s life was a testament to faith, service, and devotion to family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
We are going to miss him! When I talk about Bob I always says he’s a good egg and that anyone he met liked him instantly. My comfort is he’s pain free and finally seeing the Lord face to face, enveloped in his holy love
In fond memory of one of the very few ‘good guys’ in the ‘old neighborhood’!
Condolences to Geri & family.
Bob was such a good friend to my husband Glen ,he was always there to let him know about the patriot guard missions as we don’t have internet.then they had their trips to Costco for a hotdogs and male bonding.Going to miss that kind and gentle soul…
I met Bob through the Patriot Guard. I’d go on missions with my Daddy and Bob. He was just a great man. So kind. Always took time to talk with me a while when he’d call to tell Daddy about a mission. He will be missed.
So…Robert and I were transplanted from a small house/yard in Falcon Heights to a wondrous 2-acre playground in Fridley with trees and hills and a chicken coop and a horse barn and… a sand pit (spanking).
We went to grade school in ‘the Heights’, a couple of miles away. One day, at lunch hour, we decided that we had no interest in the afternoon session at school, so we left. We dawdled around the Heights until we decided to walk home. We got home at about the right time (no spanking, no one ever knew??).
One Sunday after a church program for young people, Robert said that he had met a cute blond girl named Geri but didn’t quite get her last name quite right. We spent hours with the MPLS telephone book (??) and Telephone Operator (???) trying to find the wrong name ‘somewhere in the Heights’. Somehow, he finally found her, and they were perfect for each other.
One time I opened a couple of beers from the fridge and offered one to Robert, and he said no cuz it’s Lent. Since my Lenten resolution only included Grain Belt Beer, I did the honorable thing.
Well Robert, I will be joining you on the other side some time, and I don’t think there is Lent there. I owe you a beer or two, and so much more. I love you, bro. John
On behalf of the DeLaSalle community, we would like to send our deepest condolences to all who knew and loved Bob.
Bob was an amazing father and friend to me, Christina, his daughter in law.
I think our relationship was blessed by God as we were connected from the very first time we met. We shared a deep love. He was kind, compassionate, patient, and understanding.
Some of my favorite memories are getting calls to come over and be guinea pigs to a latest recipe he was trying. His favorite to make became his famous Raisin Cookies. Every time we were there he’d twist our arms to have one or two…Lol He also was very proud and happy that he mastered the Insta Pot and could share meals with others…and he did as well as any recipes.
I treasure memories of going to car shows with Dad. We’d drive there with him in the large and smooth Crown Vic and meet up with Uncle Tom and sometimes aunt Linda and once Uncle Buck too. Tom would bring his car to show. It was great spending time with everyone and seeing them share their love and knowledge of cars and life. It was a lot of fun and always included a walk to the Dairy Queen.
Knowing Dad has been a privilege and honor and truly a Joy.
I am deeply missing him but comforted knowing he is in heaven, healed, whole and more alive than he ever was here on earth.
Miss you dad, Christina
