Harry Joseph Creger Jr., of Gordon, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2026. In keeping with Harry’s wishes, there will be no formal memorial service. However, his family has chosen to hold a private gathering for his wife, children, and grandchildren.
For those who wish to honor Harry’s memory, we encourage you to celebrate him in a way he would have loved: sit around a campfire with your favorite drink or smoke, watch the flames, and take a moment to remember the laughter, stories, and good times you shared with him. We think that’s exactly how Harry would want to be remembered.
Harry was born on May 3, 1973, to Betty Rubedor Creger and Harry Creger Sr.
Harry lived for his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren. He loved being outdoors and doing anything he could with them. Even when he was “too old” to keep up, he would push through anyway, knowing he’d pay the price with sore muscles the next day. Making memories with the people he loved was always worth it.
In 2020 Harry and his wife, Jennifer, purchased 10 acres of land that quickly became the family’s favorite place to be. What started as living out of a shop that Harry converted into living quarters eventually became the place they called home after moving a house onto the property. Harry spent countless weekends and holidays there with his family—riding side-by-sides and four-wheelers, gathering around bonfires, target shooting, and, of course, never sitting still because there was always another project to tackle.
Harry often said he wanted the land to be everyone’s haven, not just his and Jen’s. Even when he was away for work, the property was filled with children and grandchildren making memories together. It will forever remain a place where family gathers to remember him and the countless happy moments they shared.
Harry is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Creger, his dog Mia; his children, AJ Madison, Brittany (Alex) Pavin, Paige (Jerry) Madison, Angel (Brandon) Nierenhausen, and Alex (Kierra) Creger; and his ten beloved grandchildren: Eli, Connor, Brayden, Jonathan, Sterling, Sasha, Ellie, Ivory, Hallie, and Briar; mother-in-law, Sue (GG) Buresh. He is also survived by his four siblings and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty, and loving dog, Tyson.

Please accept my sincerest condolences. I had the privilege of working with Harry on various installations for my company. He made the most stressful workday’s a little brighter. He was a valued vendor and will be remembered for his hard work and dedication to our customers. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
