June Marie Johnson, age 85, of Belmond, Iowa and formerly of Isanti, passed away August 14, 2026 at home. Funeral service 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 22nd at Strike Life Tributes in Isanti with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in East Bradford Cemetery.
June was born June 22, 1941 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Maxwell and Violet (Nelson) Fandrey. She graduated from Holdingford High School. On February 20, 1965 she married Arthur M. Johnson in Minneapolis. June worked as a nursing assistant at the University of Minnesota. In 1971 they moved to Isanti where they raised their three children, Tracy, Lona and Dee. June was active at Lake Francis Chapel teaching Sunday School, leading the music and she served the church in any way that she could. June enjoyed cooking, spending time outdoors, dancing, coloring, flowers, butterflies, hummingbirds and music. Most of all, she loved being with her kids, grand-kids and great-grand-kids.
June will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lona Garrison (Jeff Crawford) and Dee Reed; grandsons; Michael (Melissa) Johnson, Allan (Cari) Bates, Matthew Johnson, Bret Johnson, Corey Johnson, Ryker Johnson, Rusty Ruzynski, and Joseph Close; granddaughter, Kasha Lee Garrison (Steven Fisher); great-grandchildren; Tristan Johnson, Leon Ruzynski, and Vincent Fisher; along with many honorary grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; June’s foster family, the Konsors; nephews, nieces and friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; son, Tracy; brothers, Leroy, Clifford, George and Leonard; sister, Iverne; and foster sister, Gwentha and husband Richard Konsor.
