Warren L. Schluck, age 91, of Cambridge died suddenly August 3, 2026 at home.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday October 7th at 1:00 at Common Ground: A United Methodist Community in Cambridge, 404 Cypress St. N. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church. Desserts, Coffee, storytelling and fellowship to follow the service. Private Interment to be held at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to South High Foundation, Common Ground UMC or to a Mission of your choice in Warren’s name.
Warren Lee Schluck / 1935 – 2026. Never forgetting South Minneapolis, but loving his home on Spectacle Lake where he died on August 3rd after being surrounded by family.

With a heart so big, God said it was time to rest.
He was born March 8, 1935 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Frank and Minnie (Cronkhite) Schluck. Raised in Minneapolis and graduated from South High School. On May 26, 1956 Warren married Marlys Lobeck at Riverside Chapel in South Minneapolis. They were blessed with three children, Kevin, Karin and Greg. Warren worked in several rolls at Ziegler Cat for 40 years and 10 years at Campsite Trailers. He was an avid Gopher Fan and a leader in getting the South High Foundation started and never said “no” to anyone that asked for assistance.
In 1997 they moved to a home on Spectacle Lake in Cambridge, MN. He continued serving the community volunteering at Shalom Thrift Store, Isanti Community Education Advisory Board, Common Ground: A United Methodist Community, Community Rides for Neighbors, Loaves and Fishes in the Twin Cities, Meals on Wheels, Matthew 25 Food Distribution Ministry in Isanti and Habitat for Humanity. He especially enjoyed ringing the bell for Salvation Army. In 2013 Warren and Marlys were honored as Isanti County Outstanding Senior Citizens. Time with family and especially the grandchildren & great-grandchildren was also cherished.
Warren is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Marlys; children, Kevin (Paula) Schluck, Karin (Jim) St. Jacque, and Greg (Mary) Schluck; grandchildren, Derrick (Laura), Shane (Lynn), Nick (Jessica), Alec and Nicole; 6 great-grandchildren, Lucas, Sophie, Soren, Calder, Dakota & Tate. Sister-in-law, Claudette Schluck; and by many other relatives and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Jim Schluck; sister, Pat Niznick; and brother-in-law, Larry Niznick.
So very sorry for your loss. He always had a smile on his face. He will be missed at shalom. Marlys, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Warren had a gift to storytell and make you laugh. He was cherished by his family who loved him dearly. Thinking of you all. He will be greatly missed. Sending hugs and prayers from our family to yours.

We are so sorry to hear about Warren’s passing. The world has lost such an incredible man! Jeff says he was the best coach, even with the worst team. He will be missed by so many. Our love and prayers are with you all.
Warren will be greatly missed at Shalom. He was a friend to everyone and always had a big smile. I loved sharing my backyard pond stories with him and listening to his many stories about his past. It will be difficult to see his stool empty on Thursdays at Shalom. He was more than a coworker, he was our good friend .

Warren was a dear man, loving husband and father. He always had a smile for us all at the fitness center as Marlys ran circles around all of us in the pool. I will miss him. My condolences to Marlys, his family, and everyone he touched.
