David Weaver, age 63 of Cambridge, died November 1, 2026 at Regency Hospital in Golden Valley. A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 pm with a brief service at 2:00 on Friday, November 6th at Strike Life Tributes in Cambridge. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in North Branch with Military Honors provided by the Cambridge American Legion.
David Vernal Weaver was born February 1, 1963 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Vernal and Betty (Widell) Weaver. He grew up in Elk River and graduated from Elk River High School in 1981. David served his country in the US Navy from 1982 – 1985 on the USS Kitty Hawk. After his time in the service he made the Cambridge Isanti area his home. David worked in the elevator construction field for many years. He volunteered his time helping with shooting sports, was active in 4-H, and helped with the Isanti County Fair including serving on the fair board for a time. Later in life David developed long term health issues that limited him in recent years.
David passed away November 1, 2026 at Regency Hospital in Golden Valley at the age of 63. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sons, Derek (Amy) Weaver, and Thad Weaver; siblings, Angela (Mike) Parker, James (Renee) Weaver, and Charles (Tara) Weaver; grandchildren, Braydon, MadelynnRose and Owen; and by other relatives and friends.
